Install WordPress Using Softaculous Manually

Before installing WordPress in HostGator make sure your domain (new or existing) is

1. Login to your cPanel using mail ID and password.

2. From the dashboard, Navigate to Launch cPanel


3. Search for “Softaculous” or navigate to the section


4. Click on the Softaculous App Installer




5. On the Softaculous page, Click Install in the WordPress box.



6. Now to setup you have to fill up the form carefully.


By Choosing the various option in Software Setup:


  • Choose Protocol: Make it as https:// option


  • Choose Domain: It will be visible as your domain name or you can select your domain


  • In directory: Leave it as blank



Make sure the latest version of WordPress is visible




7. In the Site setting section, Site Name as your domain name and description to a few characters you can change it later.



8. Admin Account setting:


  • Admin username: We recommend you to give a proper name instead of admin


  • Admin Password: You have to give a strong password

database name, table prefix and auto update



12. Select theme: In this section you can choose a theme for your site. WordPress has default

13. Once all the required fields are completed click the install button.



14. Congratulations, your WordPress is installed and the site is ready.

  • Site: https://www.example.com

  • Admin: https://www.example.com/wp-admin
